about this photo
The Lloyds of London Building was designed by Architect Richard Rogers. Completed in 1986, the Lloyd’s building introduced a high-tech architectural style to London’s medieval financial district, a design approach previously seen in the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Capturing the full, vertical length of the Lloyds Building in an architectural photo had it's challenges as it is surrounded by many tall buildings and only one location where one had unobstructed views from a distance of the height and width of the building. I also opted for multiple detailed images that were combined to highlight the intricate details of the building's "inside-out" look. This black & white photo enhances the metallic look of the building's exterior.
